More snow

It definitely looks like it will snow now. While it does not look impressive at this time, there is one good wave at 135W at the nose of the next jet streak. These will combine with the low-level front to generate a good band of snow, especially during the morning rush hour tomorrow. At least the GFS shows some spillover while the NAM12 is showing its dry bias during cold systems. It just proves that better resolution doesn't necessarily provide a better forecast. Look for around 2-4 inches on the east side of town with 4-8 inches west of 395 with local higher amounts in the foothills. In the Sierra, another couple feet of fluff for the ski areas. I wish I were off on Thursday.
